What makes the Tricolate different?


Eliminates uneven input whilst brewing:

An engineered shower head has been designed to disperse water evenly across the coffee at not only a consistent height but also at a specific flow rate.

Better coverage:

A more efficient saturation can be achieved for the bloom part of brewing, wetting all of the coffee grounds in seconds without needing to stir.

No more high and dry coffee grounds:

The vertical walls result in all of the coffee being in all of the water all of the time.

The German manufactured paper delivers a more consistent pore structure. With a smaller filter size than other devices you get less paper taint in your coffee.

Third Wave Water

Looking for the perfect water to brew your coffee? You finally found it.

Filtered water or even great tasting water can flatten your coffee and won't help your coffee taste amazing. The science behind brewing coffee is complicated and requires the right minerals, water buffer and more to create that perfect cup of coffee. Protect your mornings, coffee gear and favourite freshly roasted coffee for only cents a cup with Third Wave Water minerals.
Just add one Third Wave Water sachet to 2 litres of distilled or RO water, shake, and use to brew your favourite coffee.

Each pack contains 20 sticks - making a total of 40 litres (at the default ratio).

Adam's Tip: Our favourite way to use TWW at the roastery and home is to use the Espresso Profile (yes, even for filter coffee) but dilute it to half strength (so one sachet for 4L of water instead of 2L). We find this provides the best balance of total hardness and buffer to help our coffees really shine :)

Clever Coffee Dripper

The Clever Coffee Dripper allows for an incredibly smooth brewed cup of coffee, dispensed easily and without the mess!  This is a free-standing, one cup coffee brewer with so many benefits:
- it's relatively inexpensive
- it's virtually unbreakable, yet lightweight
- it's free-standing (allowing you to set the entire brew up on a scale to measure your coffee dose)
- it's commercially viable because it doesn't take monitoring to produce a consistent brew
The Clever Coffee Dripper differs from other "pour over" methods, or percolators, in that you can control the intensity of the brew by dispensing it when ready by simply placing it over a coffee cup.  You can adjust one variable at a time (water temperature, amount of grounds, time in brewer) to yield the perfect brew.  All you need is a coffee cup, some number 4, flat bottom cone-shaped paper filters and some freshly ground coffee.

Here's how it works, step by step:
1. Set the paper filter inside and rinse with boiling water.
2. Add 35 grams of ground coffee and 350ml boiling water to begin the brewing process.  Let steep.
3. Using a spoon, gently submerge any grounds which are still floating.  Let it steep for another few minutes.
4. Sit the Clever Coffee Dripper on a glass or cup and your brew is complete!
The Clever Coffee Dripper is BPA-free and should be hand washed.  Take care not to touch the bottom of the brewer throughout the brewing process as the liquid is meant to be easily released.
